HITCHCOCK REDUX

We're big Alfred Hitchcock fans. There are still great movies being made, but most Hollywood films these days are slack and soft at the center, more style than story, replacing narrative suspense with jump-cuts and dazzling special effects, and keeping our attention the way you might captivate an infant's interest rattling your car keys. But Hitch had style AND story. Go back and watch Rear Window, or To Catch a Thief, or Rebecca, and see if you agree that a phalanx of computer geeks at Industrial Light and Magic couldn't improve upon these films with all their trickery.
